Feel very Hungry or very Thirsty while Fasting?
Praise be to Allaah, the month of Ramdhaan is approaching in which fasting has been prescribed (as it was prescribed to the Nations of Previous Prophets, Peace be Upon Them).
People may feel too hungry or too thirsty while fasting, which can be helped by taking proper diet. Here are tips.
Sun Flower Seeds are a good source of protein (like beans), but it also boosts Serotonin (a neurotransmitter), which provides the emotional stability that means it is good for our mental health.
Flax Seeds are a good source of Omega-3, healthy fats for mind
Let’s make it easy to consume, mix sunflower seeds (a source of protein & neurotransmitters) and flax seeds (a source of omega-3, healthy fats) in equal quantity, crush it by a kitchen grinder and preserve it in a container.
Have 2-tablespoons (sprinkle over food or put it in a glass of water, add some raw sugar and drink it) in morning and have 2-tablespoons in evening. One of the additional benefits is, it will not let you feel hungry quickly while fasting! Hence it is a good tip for diabetic people as well.
Eat Boil Brown Rice (fibre loaded food) by mixing some natural (organic) milk and raw sugar! Eat it in Suhoor. It will not let you feel dehydrated quickly during the day! I tried it last year, the days I missed it made me feel dehydrated!!
You can also try Nabidh.
